One Region, Multiple Cities and Towns

The Northern Shenandoah Valley is home to five counties, one metropolitan city, twelve incorporated towns and numerous smaller communities each with their own distinctive flair and personality.

OldTown_Event

The City of Winchester offers a metropolitan hub with a wide array of shops, restaurants and amenities easily accessible to those living throughout the region. The Loudon Street walking mall offers a variety of locally owned shops and restaurants and a center for community festivals and events.

Venture outside of Winchester to enjoy the many quaint small towns scattered throughout the region. Art lovers will find joy in Berryville with venues such as the Barns of Rose Hill hosting live performances and several galleries and artisans calling this charming town home.

Explore seven towns strung like a pearls along US Route 11, each offering their own unique assortment of locally owned shops, restaurants, breweries and other businesses. Here you’ll find where history and modern trends converge from the oldest and longest continuously running inn in Middletown to modern murals adorning the buildings in Strasburg’s historic downtown. Outdoor lovers will rejoice in communities like Luray, Front Royal and Woodstock with an abundance of trails and greenways at your disposal for hiking and biking and access to the Shenandoah River for paddling, floats and fishing.

Find the community that best fits your lifestyle.
